No-Bake Energy Bites Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup oatmeal (I used old-fashioned oats)
1 cup toasted coconut flakes
1/2 cup chocolate chips (can be substituted with dired fruit/nuts)
1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter, etc.)
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp. vanilla
Method:
Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed.  Let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour.  Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you would like.  (Mine were about 1″ in diameter.)  Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
Makes about 20-25 balls.

This isn’t some tan girl covered in makeup with perfectly straight hair and a perfect smile. This is a girl with Pfeiffer Syndrome, who has had bangs her whole life to hide her forehead and struggles everyday to be okay with looking this way. She’s had several surgeries and will have a couple more. she can’t wear makeup much, her eyes are sensitive. Her jaw is misaligned. Her forehead is too thick and has to be shaven down. Her cheekdowns have to be moved forward by surgery. when she was four she had something called a ‘halo’ which was a metal circle screwed into her skull and jaw.
though she fought through it medically, she struggles everyday with the emotional sideeffects. she doesn’t look like her family or her friends. she may never look normal. she has depression and eating issues because of what she has had to accept about herself. she has done awful things to be pretty.
nobody ever sees her without makeup or without bangs.
until now.
She, is me.
and if I make your blog ugly, than don’t reblog this. but if you can be one of the few people in my life who I know are fully comfortable with it, than reblog this so people know.
you are beautiful. even if you don’t realize it, you are. everyone is,

Riia’s Vegan Banana Nut Muffins*Altered from this recipe
Ingredients: 3 Ripe Bananas (mashed) 3 tbsp Olive Oil 2 cups flour (aim for healthier flours…no white flours!) 3/4 cup Sugar (or applesauce as a substitute) 1 tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 3 tsp Cinnamon (or desired amount) 1/2 cup Walnuts (optional)
How to: Preheat oven to 350. Mix mashed bananas with olive oil. Add in flour, sugar, baking soda, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Blend using an electric mixer until smooth texture. Stir in walnuts. Pour batter into desired pan. I chose a cupcake tray because it makes portion control easier! Cook for about 30-60 minutes, depending on pan size! Enjoy :)

Went for a run yesterday..

Even though I knew I shouldn’t, and now my hip hurts like heeeell. I really should to to the doctor..
So now that I know that I won’t be running for a bit, I’m going to have to find something else to do for cardio, it’ll most likely be cycling but my bike is sort of broken, so I’ll have to see if I can use one of my parents’ bikes.

If any of you guys have any suggestion as to what I could do for cardio instead of running, please tell me!! :-)
